Frequently Asked Questions:
- What are compatible ink cartridges and why buy them?
- The cartridges are brand new, sealed and boxed by a 3rd party
manufacturer. They meet or exceed the OEM brand cartridges at a fraction of
the price.
- What are re-manufactured ink cartridges and why buy them?
- These are formerly used cartridges that are cleaned, re-manufactured and
refilled by a 3rd party supplier. All cartridges are tested to
meet or exceed the OEM brand at the fraction of the cost. Also, buying
remanufactured cartridges helps the environment since the used cartridges do
not go to landfill.

arrangements with you, that we will meet at a mutually convenient
location.

- All prices include GST and PST. The prices you see on the web site are
what you pay.
- What is the warranty and return policy?
- We offer a 30-day money back guarantee and will give you a full refund
or replace any defective merchandise.
- Does OttawaInk.com deliver outside of Ottawa?
- At the moment we do not ship outside of Ottawa. We are currently setting
up our distribution network.
- What if I don't see my printer model listed on the web site?
- Why are there no HP or Lexmark compatible cartridges?
- HP and Lexmark cartridges have the print head on the cartridge itself.
The print head technology is protected by patents and so cannot be made by a
3rd party supplier. This makes it difficult to find affordably
priced cartridges for these printers, unless a remanufactured cartridge is
available. In the case of most Epson and Canon printers, the print head is
in the printer and not on the cartridge. Since there is no patent protection
on the ink reservoir, 3rd party cartridges exist and so prices
are much more affordable. The costs of ink cartridge replacement should be
taken into account when purchasing a new printer.
